Hi, I'm Tucker Legerski.
Right now, in April of 2025, I would say I'm in a moment of change. My first born is almost four months old, we are in the middle of moving to Wisconsin from Alabama, and I got laid off on April 10th. I worked at that job for three years.
Like many, I was laid off because of the economy, a shift in priorities inside companies. I was at a small media startup with less than fifty employees, but I joined one of thousands who have been laid off in 2025. From tech, media, to federal — the layoff hammer has fallen across many sectors.
What I've noticed though is an overwhelming amount of support. I've heard tons of stories, reconnected with old friends, and found new communities.
I find this moment as a time of renewal: renewing my relationship to work, to time, and contacts. I'll find a new and brighter future. So, I've embarked on that adventure. See my progress in my week notes posted here in the blog.
Other priorities: move to Wisconsin, take care of a baby, finish a book, blog more. Draw more. Ride my bike more. Explore when I can.
